Who we are

The Winnipeg South Osborne Branch is an amalgation of multiple branches.

The following branches amalgamated April 23, 2003 to form the Fort Rouge & Imperial Veterans Branch #252:

Imperial Veterans #84 - December 24, 1936 - April 23, 2003

Fort Rouge #97 - February 10, 1932 - April 23, 2003

On April 25, 2007, the following branches formed the current Winnipeg South Osborne Branch #252:

St Vital #16 - December 6, 1926 - April 25, 2007

Fort Rouge & Imperial Veterans #252 - April 23, 2003 - April 25, 2007

There have been a number of presidents through the years and we will strive to record their names

What is the Royal Canadian Legion?

The Legion is a non profit, self sustained organization with approximately 1,600 branches in Canada, the United States, and Germany.

As well as community service, comradeship, sports and social activities, Legion members receive Legion Magazine, one of Canada's largest paid circulation periodicals, devoted to veterans and seniors issues, Canadian war time history and Legion affairs. There is also an excellent members' benefit package which provides members with reduced costs for goods and services through cooperating companies.

Winnipeg South Osborne Branch 252's Clubroom is a licensed beverage room that accommodates 80 members & guests in a quiet, relaxed environment suited to visiting with friends. There are two billiard tables & five dart boards available at no charge. During winter months, a dart league & a cribbage league operate weekly in the Clubroom. These leagues are open to membership by members & non-members alike.

Are non-members welcome?

Members encourage non-members to visit Winnipeg South Osborne Branch 252 anytime & enthusiastically sign visitors in to the Clubroom.
